esi: Who are you, what do you do and what makes you an expert on your start-upcountry?
Gheorghe: I am an entrepreneur since 2002, I manage a full-services strategy, PR and Social Media agency and I am watching the entrepreneurship environment for more than 15 years.
esi: What is cool about your start-upcountry, what inspires you and keeps you thriving?
Gheorghe: Recently I noticed a frenzy of start-up related events mostly related to ITC. They are either initiated by accelerators, foundries, management consultants, start-up activists or other parties. The cool thing is that the real start-up potential in Romania is far to be unleashed, and hence the big opportunity.
esi: What makes you shake your head about your start-upcountry, what needs to be improved?
Gheorghe: There is still a poor entrepreneurship culture in Romania, with not enough people ready to take all the risks inherent to initiating and running successful start-ups. The (state) education system is not adapted to a true entrepreneurial future for my country. The state schools shall include entrepreneurial curricula from the earliest educational cycles, even for six years old kids.
esi: What’s some cool fact we are likely not to know about your start-upcountry?
Gheorghe: Romanians are known to be quite talented at programming and at foreign languages.
